Personal exhibition “Left Eye Painting”

Ў Gallery of Contemporary Art presents a personal exhibition of a young Belarusian artist Zahar Kudin Left Eye Painting.

Zahar Kudin is one of the active members of the younger artists’ generation that is involved in contemporary painting. After two years in New York having re-thought the experience of America modern pictorial art, Kudin offers a new movement in painting, which is based on the achievements and problems of neuroaesthetics. The issue of neuroaesthetics is to identify the neural nature of beauty and to understand the reason why it provokes strong feelings?

The title of the exhibition Left Eye Painting is based on the physical ability of Zahar Kudin to see by his left eye with glaucoma. Left Eye Painting is an opportunity for the viewers to explore the nature of their own perceptions and emotions.

Zahar Kudin was born in Minsk in 1986. In 2007 he graduated from Minsk College of Arts named after Hliebau. Since 2005, he is one of the active members of the younger generation, that work actively in the field of contemporary art. Participant of Belarusian and international exhibitions; in 2011 – 2013 he exhibited his works in the United States. Kudin’s works are in private collections in Europe, Asia and the USA (private collection one of the Board Trustees of MoMA, New York).

In 2015, Zahar Kudin became a contestant in the project "Autumn Salon with Belgazprombank".
