BIOGRAPHY
Born in Minsk, Soviet Union, 1962.
Studied cibernetics and automatic control systems at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, 1980-85. Graduated University Degree Electrical Engineer.
First practice of scuba diving at Minsk School of Voluntary Society to Support Army, Air Forces and Navy with instructor Valery Burtsev, 1980.
Worked an engineer, Minsk, 1985-91.
Contacting Valery Lobko Creative Photography Studio in Minsk, 1988-89.
Started working with photography, 1989.
Prize by Kodak-Pathe Foundation at Salon International de la Recherche Photographique, Royan, France, 1990.
First solo exhibition: Galleri Index/ Fotograficentrum, Stockholm, 1991.
Started writing texts and prose, 1994-95.
Declarative abandonment from creation of new photographic works, 1997.
Various textual and mixed media projects, 1998-2005.
One of his works has disappeared from a retrospecrive show of his photographs at Contemporary Art Museum in Minsk (10.92-10, from 'Invisible' series), 2002
Resumed practicing scuba diving at Sea Pegas Diving Club, in Minsk, with instructor Andrey Likhachyov, PADI, 2003.
First courses of technical scuba diving, with instructor Sergey Borisov, certified ER TDI, Hurghada, Egypt, 2004.
Certified as Adv Tx TDI multigas mixtures diver with instructor Andrey Chistyakov; Trimix Deep Diving master-class at Chistyakov and diving with him to the depth of 192 meters, The Blue Hole, Dahab, South Sinai, Egypt, 2005.
Resumed taking pictures, autumn 2006.
